A 20-something startup
When Michael Bruno launched 1stDibs in 2000, he typed in 1stDibs in Times Roman Italic and called it a logo. over two decades, the company grew to be a global luxury marketplace. When I joined the company as their first Creative Director, I made some changes, with the help of 2x4 Design. Here’s our new logo.
Logo & Monogram
Ancient Roman inscriptions in stone served as both the inspiration and foundation for our logotype and monogram. While the logo’s origins are rooted in this strong typographic heritage, its details and construction are entirely contemporary, imbuing it with a worldly and timeless quality.
Brand Colors
Black and White provide a crisp, modern canvas.
Cream, Ocean and Shagreen are rich neutrals that that allows our merchandise and photography to take the starring role.
A pop of Tangerine adds style and joy.
